El Bierzo has captivated us. This Mencia by Antonio Broco has made us fall in love. Native yeasts, without passage through the barrel, unfiltered, trying to highlight the purity and typicality of this Atlantic grape. This is Ladrón 2016. An authentic wine like few others.
Only one hot night of that summer did we discover, crouching down, who was the rascal who ate those sweet grapes from our plot… Limited production to 40,000 bottles.
The 2017 vintage arrives more mature, complex, elegant, with its balsamic and mentholated notes accompanied by compote red fruits (cherries and plums) and brightened with a wonderful acidity and final freshness. A local wine, a pure reflection of this unique area.
