Why has Switzerland - a tiny, land-locked country with few natural advantages - become so successful for so long at so many things? In banking, pharmaceuticals, machinery, even textiles, Swiss companies rank alongside the biggest and most powerful global competitors. How did they get there? How do they continue to refresh themselves? Does the Swiss 'Sonderfall' (special case) provide lessons others can learn and benefit from? Can the Swiss continue to perform in a hyper-competitive global economy? Swiss Made offers answers to these and many other questions about the country as it describes the origins, structures and characteristics of the most important Swiss companies. The authors suggest success is due to a large degree to sound entrepreneurial thinking and an openness to new ideas. And they venture a surprising forecast on the country's ability to keep pace in an age of globalisation. The e-book is in English.

The Last of us Homeland Elegien Price : CHF35.90
"Exactly the writer we need." Daniel Kehlmann, FAZ "Passionate, disturbing, captivating." Salman Rushdie "A heartbreaking portrait of Americans banned from the world after 9/11 to be different." Jennifer Egan Ayad Akhtar's "Homeland Elegies" is an intelligent novel about the shattered state of America today. About an America where the ideals of American democracy were sacrificed to the gods of the financial industry and a television personality could become president. It is a personal memoir on the experiences of Muslims living in the West, especially after 9/11, and a reflection on the possibility of a Western Muslim identity. It is the intellectual biography of an exceptional artistic talent and a sometimes funny, sometimes moving, sometimes conflicted immigrant family story. And last but not least, the novel tells global contemporary history with great esprit and from an unusual perspective, from the conflict between Pakistan and India to the first Afghanistan war to Osama bin Laden and the recent Islamist terror. This book is in German.
»The big themes of our life: striving for happiness, searching for and finding love, the role of chance, the meaning of our existence - all of them are condensed into a linguistically overwhelming work in this wise, great novel.« Markus Lanz A wrong decision that changes the lives of three families forever: A judge forces nurse Charlotte to swap his terminally ill newborn for a healthy one. If she does not follow his threat, he will withdraw her foster son. The world of everyone involved is falling apart, but behind everything is the mysterious plan of life ... Can we find the right one in the wrong life? How do you open up to a new one? How do you let go? With great linguistic power and grace, the author shows that everyone already has their own map of life and that everything is miraculously linked. Everyone finds their color of happiness in this novel. "In some books you read a truth that just fits so well into your own life that it hits the heart and takes your breath away - this book is full of these things." Alexandra Reinwarth “A wise, graceful novel. Clara Maria Bagus has mastered the art of healing storytelling. «Nele Neuhaus “Nobody has ever talked so tenderly about the happiness that grows out of bad luck. A feather-light yet psychologically refined journey into the magical realm of the soul. Sad and comforting at the same time. A great gift. «Wolfgang Herles “A wonderful novel about love and its many surprising manifestations. Greatly composed, full of wisdom, emotion and confidence. Seldom have I been so grateful at the end of a book for spending time with him. ”Jean-Remy von Matt. This book is in German.

“I ordered 9 Naruto books for my 11 year old son so that he can read during holidays and amplify his naruto collection. I ordered on 13. February and received 5 of the 9 books yesterday 18. February. So they took basically 4 working days for the delivery after ordering, which is not bad at all. I wrote them yesterday night to ask why they sent me only 5 books and they replied this morning at 9am explaining that they had received only 5 on time and the remaining 4 where received a bit later but they will dispatch them today. At first I was disappointed but they replied quick to my query and since I'm able to pay with invoice I have 30 days to pay. ”
