Although they may not always be successful or interestingly conveyed, these quotes amaze us. How do we explain this insatiable appetite for literature by the seventh art? In fact, the issue is not simple and requires many other questions that we will try to answer. We shall try, then, in the following reflections to define precisely the special links that exist between the different literary genres and cinema. We will have to approach the similarities and differences between these two modes of expression, always from the point of view of citation, and determine the specific nature of one as well as the other.
