This wine is made in the stunning vineyard area of the Aude, in western Roussillon. It's a viticultural paradise that sits in close to the might Pyrenees. Jean-Luc Terrier, the winemaker, also has an estate in Burgundy and applies all his knowledge equally in both domains. This pale pink wine has a complex nose of red fruits, peach, and flowers. It is fresh and fruity, with a light body, and an aromatic finesse. It's thirst-slaking and quite ravishing.
Veneto is home to a number of Italy's classic wine regions but it is the sparkling wines from Prosecco that currently have a buzz surrounding them. The best sparkling wines have both delicacy and intensity, something we nailed on a recent trip out to see top Prosecco winemaker Sergiu Scobioala. A lovely style of fizz packed with apple and pear fruit and a little leafiness adding to its charm. A citrus led palate and excellent intensity make Senti the perfect aperitif and celebratory sparkler. It's no wonder this is a star addition to our full range of vegan Prosecco.
The McGuigan Zero range was in development for over two years before release to get these wines just right. Neil and his team used the latest spinning cone technology, working at low temperatures to gently remove alcohol after the fermentation process whilst ensuring the wines maintain their delicious fruit flavours. This Shiraz has typical black cherry, plum, pepper and vanilla nuances, with enough tannins to give a textured finish. It'll pair beautifully with a Moroccon lamb tagine or roast duck.
Dragon Hills Pinot Noir has a lovely light red fruited nose that is really rather pretty. There's gentle supporting notes from a little time in oak and a delightfully soft finish. After a few years working closely with one of Romania's leading wineries, Cramele Recas, we're excited to finally list one of their Pinot Noirs, famed for both quality and value! With a history of winemaking dating back 6000 years, (pretty impressive) this is a taste of just how bright a future the wines of Romania have.
